Templar Knights – Honor, Loyalty, Integrity
A second city is something aggressively sought, but few really know how to take advantage of its value. Well, not in this allianceÉ
First, letŐs take a moment and discuss food. When food goes to zero, you donŐt lose troops or anything else. The only impact on your game play is that you can no longer train or build. As your army grows, it begins to eat everything in sight. When you have a single city, your only recourse is to beg your brothers and sisters for food. Enter the second cityÉ
When you build your second city, use it as a source of food for your primary. Keep no troops there; keep them in the primary city. When you want to build something in the primary city, transport food from the second to the primary. This doesnŐt mean you canŐt train in the second city; I do. However, I quickly move trained troops to the primary to maximize food accumulation.
Another thing you can do with the second city is hide your resources. If you only use your primary city for attacks and farming, bad people (i.e. most unfortunate knights that donŐt belong to our alliance) wonŐt know your second cityŐs coords. So you can keep excess resources, including the heaps of gold collected in farming, in the second city until you share it with your brothers and sisters.
Finally, your two cities should be close enough to easily move troops and resources back and forth, but far enough apart to keep bad people with your primary coords from easily locating your second city. I recommend about a three to five minute march between cities. The distance this translates to depends on the levels of your relay stations. I further recommend you keep your relay stations at level four. This not only keeps your cities far apart, it also speeds transports to your brothers and sisters.
